Most higher education teachers have received little or no specific training in Language for Specific Purposes (LSP). This is of particular concern for teachers and learners of LSP in vocational education and training (VET) institutions where language skills are expected to enhance mobility and employability.
To help solve this problem, the ‘LSP Teacher Training Winter School’ – TRAILs, which is funded under the EU Erasmus+ Programme – will design and pilot a new LSP teacher training programme that will be offered to European higher education institutions. The programme will be will be tested through the TRAILs Winter Schools, which will deliver the training programme at higher education sites in different EU countries. The project involves eight partners from Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK and is led by the University of Bordeaux.
WINTER SCHOOL SELF-ASSESSMENT TOOL
The LSP Teaching Training Programme will be delivered in February through the TRAILs Winter School.
We’ve developed a tool to help participants in the Winter School assess their LSP teaching competences before and after participation.
Privacy Notice
All data collected from the self-assessment tool survey will be stored in a secure database accessed only by members of the TRAILs research team.
We will not give the information you have provided to any third party outside the TRAILs research team.
Data collected from the self-assessment tool will only be used for research purposes. Should we use this data in research reports that may be publicised outside the project, the data will be aggregated and completely anonymised so that no individual can be identified.
